Your account, your choice
Delete your
Gotchu account.
In the app
Open the family panel, tap Delete my account, and confirm. The deletion is permanent.
Without the app
Email hello@gotchu.com.au with the subject Delete my Gotchu account. Send from the email used for your Gotchu login, or tell us that login email. For a parent-linked child phone with no email login, a parent or guardian can contact us using their adult account email and identify the child profile. We’ll verify that the request is yours before deleting the account. You do not need to reinstall the app.
Request account deletionWhat gets deleted?
- Your Gotchu login, user record and its private records are removed. Adult billing access records are removed and the family plan is recalculated from remaining adult subscribers.
- For adult accounts, Gotchu requests deletion of the RevenueCat customer profile. RevenueCat queues provider deletion; it may not finish immediately. If that request fails, Gotchu leaves the account in place so you can retry.
- For an adult leaving a family with another adult, that adult’s member profile, events and associated voice logs are removed. Their claimed lifts on other family events are released.
- If you are the last adult, the shared family calendar, member profiles and voice logs are deleted, along with the linked family user records. Other members’ authentication accounts may remain until separately deleted.
- Deleting a child’s login unlinks their phone account. A parent’s Disconnect phone action removes that device’s access and preserves the family-managed child profile and calendar entries. For removal of the child’s profile and activities, contact us as the managing parent.
For removal of remaining family-managed information, ask the parent who manages the family or contact us. Provider operational logs or records required by law may be subject to separate retention requirements.
